Blue Monday - Different shades of BLUE

Outcome of an easy hunting... (part 2) Black is Beautiful

I was lucky last week to find great finds. I managed to get 7 pieces of black rose platters through what I considered as 'difficult hunting' and what made me felt happier was that I found a teapot with 4 pairs of cup n saucer with the same design through what I considered as an 'easy hunting'. It means a lot to me though I dont get the full set.

Hasil hunting mudah...

Ari ini kak gee nak share hasil gi 'hunting mudah'.....tapi sebenarnye seronok gi hunting yang susah2. Kuar dari satu kedai ke satu kedai. Ade rezeki, ade lah, tak ade rezeki...balik tangan kosong dan putih mate dibuatnye.

Walaupun huntingnye mudah, hasilnye lumayan (bukan banyak tetapi dapat yang diidam2kan).

Jom kawan2 semua, kita tengok pic di bawah ni. Bagi mereka yang dah ade dan ade lebih, email lah pada kak gee ye....boleh kita barter.

Dapat 1 teko, 3 cawan dan 1 piring saje. So 2 cawan tu,

kena menumpang sementara partnernye menjelma.

Ini pula hanye dapat teko sahaja.

Disebabkan bunga ros dan color pink, terkamlah.

Show and Tell - Rosettes

Today I am going to share with you some of my rosette's collection. We started to join cat show in 1991. So its already 18 years now. Normally, I took with me more than 10 cats to show in different breed such as persian, siamese, cornish rex, kucing malaysia dan household. Since then, I have been collecting the trophies and rosettes that I won. I love rosettes more than trophies. I have more than 400 rosettes but its getting more and more, I have no choice but to throw it away. Right now, I have about 200 rosettes left with me. Let me share with you some of my winning rosettes.

3 or More Tuesday - Treasure Hunt - The Black Rose

The craze for old dishes make me go hunting every corner for that stuff. We were lucky enough to find a shop which met my expectation. The owner seemed happy that I took mostly all of his old dishes. My colleague companied me and on the way back home, we stopped by a durian stall and enjoyed ourselves eating by the road side.

I have already did an entry on the bowls I purchased last week and now Im going to share the plates which most of us here in Malaysia called as 'The Black Rose'. I bought 7 pieces but looking at it carefully, the design is not the same. There are 2 designs.

and another 3 Black Roses with design 2 (infact the colour of roses too is not exactly black/grey but a bit greenish).

These plates are already more than 40 years old.

Memang sah pinggan lama

Minggu lepas colleague kak gee ade beri 3 keping pinggan hijau. Kak gee memang ade satu tapi bunga nye berlainan ngan yang baru kak gee terima ni. Walaupun dah rendam ngan klorox semalaman, warna coklat di pinggan itu tetap ade. So sahlah kan pinggannya memang dah lama. Warna coklat dah sebati tak leh luntur. Jom kak gee tunjukkan.

Show and Tell Friday - Where have you been hiding?

Show and Tell Friday is back again!. Thanks to Kelli @ There is no place like home for hosting this gracious event.

I like to collect old dishes and I always search for a dish with a rose theme. Today, I can say Im quite lucky to find 6 bowls with lovely roses on it. There are 6 bowls left at that shop and I took them all with me. Besides that, I find another 2 small bowls with roses on it too but it does not as lovely as the big bowl and with a different design. But it doesnt matter to me. And that is not all, because I bought a few plates too with different pattern. But I know for sure, its more than 30 years old already. But today, Im going to share with you, just the bowls only.

Yesterday, I got the chance to visit my cousin in Kuala Lumpur. The last time we saw each other was about 5 months ago. We did talk thru the phone and made appointment to meet but it does not happen the way we want to be. Something caught my eyes when I was there which is in BLUE and now Im going to share it with you.
