Cats on Tuesday - Specially for Cat Lovers

Here some pictures I took during the last Cat Fancy Dress Competition held in conjuction the PetWorld International Cat Show on June 27th. at MidValley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur.

Specially for Cat Lovers - Part I

Salam to all cat lovers.

Last week, I participated in International Cat Show organised by my cat club - the Malaysian Cat Club. That was the first show for me for the year 2010. I took with me 2 cats and a kitten. There were various breed such as Persian/Exotic, Birman , Maine Coon, Bengal, Sphynx, Siamese/Oriental, American Curl Longhair, Kucing Malaysia and of course the shorthair and longhair household pets. One of the main attraction for the day was the Fancy Cat Dress Competition.

As for today, I am going to share with you my friends, 3 of my cats that took part in the show.

Persona Shareca. She is 11 years old. (My, that is equivalent to 61 years of human age). She got third in her category.

Persona Baby Blue. She also got 3rd placing in her category.

Persona Little Andika. He didnt win any place. There is a fault with his tail.

I am going to tell you a story about my cat by the name of Kelly. She is about 7 years now. She was posted to us by mail (Im just kidding). We found her in my mail box. She was about 1 month old at that time. Since then, she was with us until now. I can say that she is among the queen of the house since she is the only one who is not being caged.

She has her own style of sleeping and of course her favorite spot is my bed. Let me show a few pictures of her while she was sleeping. All these pictures were taken on a different day. But when come for bed time, she will sleep with my son. Here she goes.........

Blue Monday - Blue Rosette

Its Monday and its Blue Monday at Smilingsally.

Today I am going to share with you something related to cats. As a cat lover, I always go for the cat show regardless it is an international, national or even just a fun cat show. The winning cat for each category will be awarded a trophy and a rosette. As for the rosette, the colour of the rosette gives a significant indicator. Blue is for the first placing, red for the second and yellow is for the third placing.

Today I am going to share with you part of my blue rosettes. Lets enjoy it and happy viewing.

Blue Monday - Cage Decoration

Time is running very fast. Today is 6 July 2009 - its Blue Monday again. Sally at Smiling Sally is the host of this great event. Please feel free to visit her for more exciting BM posts.

Last week, I did an entry on Cat Fancy Dress which was one of the favourite side event during cat shows. Yesterday (5 July 2009), our cat club held another International Cat Show in conjuction with the Pets Exhibition held in Mid Valley Convention Centre. There were about 140 cats in different breed participating in the show such Persian/Excotic, Maine Coon, Bengal, Siamese/Oriental, Balinese, American Shorthair, Kucing Malaysia and of course domestic shorthair and longhair.

I took with me 2 cats for the show, Persona Chevy and Persona Shareca. Persona is our prefix cattery. Both of them managed to get 2nd placing in their category. Well, since today is Blue Monday, I am going to share with you a lovely cage which was decorated in blue. It belongs to one of the participants. Cage decoration is another favorite side events during cat show.

International Cat Show - Cat Fancy Dress

At last, after the long silence, I took 2 cats with me for the International Cat Show held in Mid Valley Convention Centre. I took about 6 months to participate again in cat show. Normally, I will bring more than 10 cats to show but now I only managed to take 2 cats only. Only Allah SWT knows how I feel being there without my beloved hubby.

As usual, Im one of the secretariat. My task was to process the cat show's results. Today, Im going to share something different - nothing to do with the english decor or antique but some pictures of cat fancy dress. Cat fancy dress is one of the favorite side event held by our cat club and it attracts the audiences very much. Look at those lovely dressess worn by those cute cats.....Aren't are pretty?

Setelah 6 bulan menyepi dari menyertai pertandingan kucing, hari ini atas permintaan kawan2 baik di kelab kucing, kak gee gagahkan diri dan kuat semangat membawa kucing2 kak gee untuk International Cat Show di Mid Valley. Kebiasaan kak gee akan bawa melebihi 10 orang tetapi kali ini, kak gee hanya mampu membawa 2 ekor kucing saje. Deep inside me, only Allah SWT knows how I feel. Being there without my beloved hubby.

Seperti biasa, kerja kak gee adalah sekretariat. Agak sibuk menguruskan keputusan pertandingan. Kak gee nak share dengan kawan2 bloggers sesuatu yang agak berbeza. Bukan english decor ataupun antik tetapi sebahagian ahli yang menyertai Cat Fancy Dress. Acara ini memang selalunya mendapat sambutan dari audience. Cantik kan baju kucing2 tu......

Cats Stuff Collection - Part 2

My family has always love cats. There was a time where we had different breed such as Persians, Malaysiana, Kucing Malaysia, Cornish Rex, Siamese, Oriental and of course household cats. But now we only have Siamese and household cats only. I just cannot cope to breed/rear many cats with my situation right now.

Due to our passion for cats, we have been collecting stuff with the cat theme. Let me share with all the cat lovers some of my costume jewellery collection with this theme. I always put them on whenever I go for cat shows.
