Pink Saturday - Folk art pitchers

Oh! its Saturday and its Pink Saturday, the day I have been waiting for. Many thanks to Beverly@How sweet the sound who is the gracious hostess of this great event. This is my first posting for Pink Saturday and I hope all my dear friends are in the pink of health and love what I am going to share.

Today I am going to share something simple but elegant and beautiful. I just want to share and show something about my passion and interest in life. It is about a make over pitchers. These pitchers are already more than 30 years old. It is an enamel pitcher which once belonged to my late mother. To make it 'happening', I have asked my friend who is a decorative artist to paint them. She has painted one in blue which I have posted it for Blue Monday and the another one in pink.

To all my dear friends, happy viewing and hope you will like it.

Don't hurry. Don't worry. You are only here for a short visit.
So don't forget to stop and smell the roses. - Walter Hagen

  24. How incredibly lovely! I had never seen these before. I am German and we have something that kind of looks similar and it's called a "Stövchen".

A Stövchen is a tea/coffee pot warmer with a candle inside. Often this is just an ordinary pot warmer, but more often than not, they make matching design Stövchen for the teapot of coffee pot.

Your photos look absolutely delightful. Thank you for sharing. Have a lovely Pink Saturday!

How lucky you are to have something so beautiful and elegant that belonged to your mother. I love enamelware and your friend did a beautiful job of painting it with roses (my favorite). I enjoyed my visit. Stop by Bunny Cottage if you have the opportunity. Have a blessed Sunday. Vicki
